About Our Hubs
A National Network for Foiling Access
USFoil Hubs are the cornerstone of our national effort to make foiling accessible everywhere. Each Hub serves as a regional center for foiling education and community growth, providing sailors of all ages with a place to learn, train, and experience the excitement of flight.
By establishing these Hubs at yacht clubs, community sailing centers, and schools across the country, USFoil ensures that high-quality foiling opportunities are available year-round — not just at major coastal programs.
Hubs Equipped
for Success
Every USFoil Hub receives foiling equipment on loan to support instruction, clinics, and local events. These boats act as shared community assets, allowing new sailors to experience foiling without the barrier of equipment ownership.
Hubs are also supported with technical guidance, spare parts, and educational materials so that clubs can integrate foiling safely and sustainably into their programming.
Coach Development and Local Expertise
Coaches at each Hub are trained and certified through the USFoil Coach Pathway, ensuring consistent, professional instruction across all locations. By investing directly in coach education, USFoil empowers local programs to deliver “learn to foil” experiences, run foiling camps, and host regional training sessions. Over time, each Hub becomes a self-sustaining center of excellence — building the next generation of sailors and creating lasting foiling culture within their community.
Current Hubs
Cabrillo Beach Foiling Center
At the historic Scout Building in Cabrillo Beach, California, a new chapter is beginning as the facility is repurposed into a modern foiling center. Supported by the local Port Association and community partners, the Cabrillo Beach Hub will introduce foiling to one of Southern California’s most storied sailing venues.
With dedicated foiling boats, boards, and certified USFoil coaches, the site will provide year-round opportunities for youth and adult sailors to learn, train, and race. This project reflects the region’s commitment to revitalizing public waterfront spaces and expanding access to high-performance sailing on the West Coast.
Severn Sailing Association
Located in Annapolis, Maryland, Severn Sailing Association (SSA) will serve as the second official USFoil Hub in the United States. SSA has a long been recognized as one of the nation’s premier dinghy racing clubs, with a deep commitment to youth development and innovation.
As a USFoil Hub, SSA will receive dedicated foiling boats, boards, and coach education support to introduce foiling to a wider range of sailors. The partnership will enable year-round foiling activity in the Chesapeake region and provide a model for how established clubs can expand their programs to include this exciting new discipline.
