01IT STARTS WITH COACHES

Strong programs
start with strong coaches.

USFoil develops coaches through the Dinghy Foiling Coach Endorsement pathway, building a national community that works from common standards, terminology, progression, and teaching philosophy. The goal is consistency: a sailor encounters a familiar development system wherever they train with a USFoil Endorsed Coach. For program directors, Endorsed Coaches create continuity that survives staff changes and reduces dependence on any one individual.

02A CURRICULUM CLUBS CAN BUILD AROUND

A structure programs
do not have to invent.

USFoil gives clubs and coaches a repeatable framework for sailor development. Coaches still adapt to their sailors, venue, and conditions, but they work inside a common progression rather than rebuilding the program from scratch. The curriculum is the bridge between individual coaching quality and program stability — shared language, clearer progression, easier coach development, and continuity from season to season.

03ENDORSED COACHES CREATE CERTIFIED SAILORS

Progress, verified
by eligible coaches.

Through the USFoil Tracker, sailors progress through a national Dinghy Foiling Certification pathway. Eligible Endorsed Coaches verify demonstrated skills, giving sailors, parents, and programs a shared reference for where a sailor stands and what comes next. Certification is a structured record of demonstrated progress — not a license or a guarantee.

HUBs combine recurring local activity with coach development, curriculum, certification, and ongoing program support. A club can start with a clinic, develop its coaches, and build at the pace that fits its venue and community. USFoil stays engaged after launch — helping program leaders review progress, develop coaching depth, use the Tracker effectively, share what works, and keep activity moving.

USFoil is developing a recognizable standard for clinics, regattas, and race-management support — built around organization, communication, safety, technology, and the sailor experience. The long-term promise is simple: when sailors see USFoil associated with an event, they expect a well-run experience and want to attend.
