AMERICA’SUSFoil Endorsed Coaches work from a common curriculum, shared terminology, and a national sailor-development pathway. That gives coaches a clearer framework, sailors a familiar system, and clubs continuity that survives staff changes.

Each level answers who it is for, what the coach can do, and the next step. Hours and prerequisites are secondary — they confirm readiness, not the value.
Level 1
Prerequisite includes US Sailing Instructor Level 1 and First Aid. Eligible to deliver Level 1 (Novice) sailor programs and sign off Sailor Level 1 certifications.
Level 2
Requires a Level 1 endorsement and sustained flight upwind and downwind. Eligible to deliver Level 1, 2, and 3 sailor programs and sign off Sailor Levels 1–3.
Level 3
USFoil Foiling 3/4. Requires a Level 2 endorsement and racing experience. Eligible to deliver all sailor-development levels and support integration with WASZP Race Team programming.
Level 4
Five or more years of foiling coaching experience. Eligible to co-deliver coach endorsement clinics and sign off Sailor Levels 1–3.
Coach Endorsement fees are included in the monthly program fee paid by a USFoil HUB. Coaches affiliated with a HUB pay no additional per-level endorsement fees.
The following fees apply to coaches outside a HUB.

Payment does not guarantee endorsement. All assessment and approval requirements apply to HUB and non-HUB coaches.
Use your existing Tracker account or create one to manage your endorsement, sign-offs, and sailor records. Coaches already in a HUB can use their existing account.
An active endorsement requires a current US Sailing certification. SafeSport and First Aid/CPR are tracked informationally alongside it.

They are separate. Coach Endorsement develops the coaches who teach and verify; sailor certification is the progression those coaches sign off. Coach Endorsement is also distinct from HUB progression.
Coaches who leave a HUB keep their endorsement as a Foiling Coach, independent of any HUB. The endorsement stays with you.
A Level 1 Endorsed Coach signs off sailor Level 1. A Level 2 Endorsed Coach signs off Levels 1–3. USFoil-wide coaches — the Head of Coaching and the Program Director — have final authority on everything. Endorsement approvals are made by USFoil’s Head of Coaching.
Coach Endorsement is a development standard—not a license or a guarantee.
